Grassroots Club of the Month

Honouring the Clubs That Build the Game

The Grassroots Club of the Month series recognises the community and junior clubs that have shaped the game of Rugby League for more than a century. Each month during the 2026 NRL season, Gallery of League will feature one local club; documenting its origins, notable past players, jerseys, badges, and defining moments. Each feature becomes part of the Grassroots Archives: a permanent record of the regions and pathways that connect community Rugby League to the elite level.

Program Structure

Each monthly feature includes:

  • Club Overview – name, region, year founded, and competition.

  • Historic Jersey Imagery – digitally recreated by Gallery of League.

  • Logo or Crest Evolution – tracing how the club’s visual identity has evolved.

  • Notable Figures – past players, coaches, or volunteers who shaped the club.

  • Historic Highlights – the moments, eras, and stories that defines the club’s legacy.

All features are presented across Gallery of League social media pages as well as the website, creating a high-quality digital record of each club’s history.

The Grassroots Club of the Week series celebrates the community clubs that built Rugby League — preserving their stories, colours, and heritage for future generations. This form is intended for official club representatives who can provide verified historical information. Please complete the following details to nominate your club for consideration in the 2026 series.

Section 1: Club Information

Enter your club’s full registered name.
Approximate year if exact date is unknown.
E.g. Canberra Region Rugby League, Illawarra, Group 11, etc.
Main playing venue or training location.

Section 2: Nominator Details

Nominations must be submitted by an official club representative or a person authorised by the club.

Section 3: Historical Overview

(200–400 words. Include club origins, any rivalries, achievements, and defining moments.)

To ensure accurate representation, please confirm which materials your club has access to if selected.
Do you have access to your club’s logo in vector format (AI, SVG, EPS, or editable PDF)?
Do you have access to historical photos, jersey images, or memorabilia?
Would your club be able to assist with verification of historical details (e.g. colours, dates, player records)?
